5K HD ist die neue Supergroup zusammengesetzt aus Schmieds Puls-Frontfrau Mira Lu Kovacs und den 4 Jungs von Kompost 3. Die improvisationslastige Jazz/Funk/Groove-Truppe erweitert sich um eine der ausdrucksstärksten Stimmen in Österreich und damit auch um neue Facetten in ihrem ohnehin nicht für Scheuklappen bekannten Sound. Mit teils akustischen, teils elektronischen Mitteln bewegt man sich fließend mal im Jazz, mal im Dubstep, dann wieder ein Breakbeat, ein Funk Riff, eine Prog Rock-Eskalation, alles mühe- und nahtlos, aber ohne jemals den Pop aus dem Auge zu verlieren. Im September 2016 haben 5K HD ihre Debüt-EP MeM veröffentlicht, im Herbst dieses Jahres soll das Album And To In A auf Seayou Records folgen. \"These musicians are so in tune that they seem to melt into one another.
